Rhythm
Rhythm is the heart and soul of a song. The chords, the layers and the small tweaks that get people moving. Everything builds from rhythm – it is the canvas, the brush, the scenery. It is the stage, the lighting, the venue. Without this foundation nothing will shine. Spend the time to know your chords. Shape them how you want. Layer your notes in the chord to design your soundscape. Then you will have the ability to make truly great music. It is simply impossible to write a good song without a good rhythm behind it.
