Pull-off
The pull-off technique for guitar is a great way to hit 2 notes for 1 pick. You hold the note down, pick, then while the note is ringing pull your finger off. This is how guitarists get really fast runs where you are amazed at their speed – often they are using this. You do need to know what scale you are in though to make sure the note that you pull-off to is in the scale. Try this with the E minor, A minor, or the C major scale first off as the open notes on the guitar are all in that key.
