Music theory on guitar is often overlooked for the the more ‘fun’ aspects of playing. But theory is by far the quickest way to improve your playing! Understanding your notes and how a scale and chord works makes everything make sense. It can be hard, confusing and feel like you are learning an alien language, but once you get it you will become a new musician. This first lesson just gets into what the notes are and how to find them on the guitar. Take it easy, repeat the lesson if needed and then take your time and go through other lessons. Once it starts to sink in have a look at it again and you will start to build an understanding of how music theory works on guitar.
