C 6th chords are tricky and take a bit of thinking to make them work properly – try cutting them into small chords for layering in a melody. Go to lesson.

Split them up
G 6th chords are a bit of a handful to do the full 2 octave chord so cut it down into some awesome little chords and layer. Go to lesson.
Bar Chord – C Position
Change the tone of your bar chords
The C shape bar chord takes some practice but is a really good way to change up the sound of your bar chords from E and A positions. Go to lesson.

Huge sound
The G position bar chords are hard to pull off but are amazing and full bodied. Try splitting them up for low and high tones. Go to lesson.
Small Chords

Small chords refers to simple 3 note chords that are easy to play and move through the modes – often adds in a 4th, 6th and 9th with a 1st and 3rd or 1st and 5th. Go to lesson.

Descending runs that break the rules
Changing up your chord positions can make for some interesting sounds – the B7th moved up one fret gives us a bizzare C maj 7th add #6 – like a flat and natural 7th at the same time. Go to lesson.
